| Immediate Needs and
Requirements: |
| |
| Temple and shrine hall: |
| |
|
| |
Presently the Nunnery
is functioning without a proper temple and shrine hall.
The space allocated for dining hall is temporarily being
used as the shrine room. The nuns eat outside in the
grounds, which can be cold in the winter and hot in
summers. There is a great need for a proper shrine hall
which can be exclusively used for prayers and practice.
The proposed temple will have three floors. |
| |
|
|
|
|
| |
The ground-floor will have six class-rooms.
The first floor will be the main shrine hall and
the second floor will have a library. The dimension
of the building will be 50 ft X 80 ft and will
be built in a traditional style. |

|
| Additional
Accommodation: |
| |
|
| |
With 165 nuns living in
the Nunnery, the present accommodation facility
is inadequate. Many of the nuns share rooms
and in some cases upto six nuns share one room
with one toilet and bathroom. This results in
unhygienic conditions and affects the health
of the nuns as well. Besides due to shortage
accommodation we have to refuse new admissions
to the Nunnery. Therefore more accommodation
facilities are required. |
| |
|
| Maintenance
Expenses: |
| |
|
| |
Annual maintenance expenses
is another area where the Nunnery is facing
problem. There is no permanent source of income
and the Nunnery solely depends on donations
and sponsorships which is irregular and inadequate.
With the increase in inflation, costs of food,
electricity, water etc. increases year by year.
