Held annually from the 11th of 4th Lunar month for five consecutive days.
 
Sakya Ga-Dhe Hospital:
   
A long time project of Sakya Centre has been to establish a charitable hospital to provide affordable health care to monks, nuns and the local community. The hospital which is located behind the Centre was formally opened in 2000.

 
 
The hospital has 22 beds, 3 outpatient departments, a dental clinic an X-ray department and a pharmacy.
 
The hospital is open 24 hours and employs three physicians as well as a doctor specialising in Tibetan medicine. The hospital charges minimal fees for consultation, bed and other facilities it offers. In the past three years, the hospital has treated more than 15,000 patients the majority being poor and needy.
 
 
The hospital is able to perform minor procedures and there is a plan to convert one room into an operating theatre. This would improve the scope and complexity of services offered. There is need for funds for this project as well as funds to cover the salaries of doctors and staff and maintenance expenses.
